workshops

You saw us at Plein Air and Swiss Days !

NOW, YOU ARE INVITED . . . to participate in the second in a series of basic photography workshops entitled:

AUTUMN COLORS PHOTOGRAPHY

In this workshop you will learn the locations of some of the best autumn scenes near Midway.  You will learn that lighting is the key to great autumn photos.  We will discuss typical lighting situations that occur in the fall and how to get the best photos possible in each.  We will discuss composition ideas for autumn scenes and explain how select lens filters can make your fall color shots really ‘pop’.  Most of the class will be a field trip to a nearby site to practice what you have learned.

WHEN:  We will meet at Don Gardiner’s home at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2008.  Please see map below.  We expect to finish by noon.

WHAT TO BRING:

o Your camera (along with a basic understanding of its functions),

o A tripod if you have one (not necessary)

o Any lens filters that you have

o Warm clothing for a frosty morning and a sense of adventure.

COST: Our introductory workshop in September was FREE.  This and future workshops cost $15 or no cost if you are a member of THE MOUNTAIN VALLEY PHOTOGRAPHER.  The yearly fee for becoming a member is $35.
